FINAL EXAM

There is no topic more avoided today than that of the final judgment.

A friend and I were discussing this topic at work, when suddenly a third person interjected angrily, “There is no final judgment, so stop talking about it. I do not want to hear about it anymore.”

He was truly upset.

It is strange that he was so adamant about something he professes not to believe in!

What does Gods Word say?

What can man expect after he dies?

Is there a final judgment or not?

So many people believe [hope] that we just fall asleep.

Please read carefully the following verses.

GOD wants all to know what lies ahead.

It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27

Notice that Christ has given the sequence of events.

We die, then face the judgment.

Can some escape this judgment?

No, for all mankind is alike.

All have sinned and must stand before Him in judgment.

Friends, as lovingly and as carefully as can be done, I tell you that you will be there.

How will you make out?

Will you pass the judgments of GOD?

Are you aware that you can already know your verdict?

How can this be?

Jesus Christ has already recorded the decision in His Holy Word, the Bible.

Read the following passages carefully friend, for it clearly tells you the awful verdict; but notice that it also offers you a way of hope.

And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15

Please note: the final confirmation of the verdict was not based on the judgment of their works, but on whether or not their name was written in the Book of Life.

This is your awful expectation, friend, as you look ahead to your judgment.

You will not pass Gods final judgment.

As you read did you notice that your verdict can be altered if and only if your name is written in the Book of Life? The same portion that confirms your judgment, offers you hope.

God, through Jesus Christ, offers you the chance to settle now, today, your relationship with Him.

You can know forgiveness now, and forever, while experiencing peace with God.

The Bible says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

Or you may try to settle it then.

But it will be too late.

Is your name recorded there?

To have your name entered into the Book of Life you must respond to Gods offer to forgive you.

How do we do this?

The following few sentences will be the most important ones that you will ever read.

Please read them carefully.

To accept Gods offer of forgiveness and a new way of life, you must believe and accept what God has done for you.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him (Christ) should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Whenever a person believes what Christ has done for him on the Cross and then invites Christ into his life, the result is forgiveness and a new life with God.

Would you receive Christ today?

You can do it right now. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2Corinthians 6:2b

If you are sincere and need help asking for forgiveness, then the following is a suggested prayer.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You, confessing that I have sinned and broken your laws. I am sorry for my sin, and believe that Jesus Christ came to earth to die for me and my sins and rose again from the dead that I too might have eternal life. Please forgive me. I invite You into my life, and give Jesus Christ the right to take control of the rest of my life. Please help me to be what You want me to be. I thank You for saving me and accepting me and I pray this in Jesus name.”

If you prayed this and believe it congratulations.
