A mans role

Men are you leading your families spiritually?

As believers we are to know the Bible, but it is the mans duty as head of the family unit to see that his family is completely versed in Gods word.

This is precisely where the Christian men in this country have fallen down.

It is our responsibility to teach and admonish our wives and children that they read and understand the word of God.

God is a strict advocate of home schooling; the early church would have thought it heretical to send their children off to a Roman run school for Biblical training.

Many years ago in the U.S. the public schools taught the Bible as well as reading, writing, and arithmetic.

This is no longer the case.

Although our public schools are very religious, the religion currently taught is the religion of secular humanism.

At any rate, we are not to leave Biblical training of our family members to outside influences.

We simply cannot expect the Church in one hour on Sunday mornings to teach our kids

the whole counsel of God.

Make no mistake, God will hold Christian fathers accountable for the spiritual instruction of their families.

If we men don’t take the initiative to lead our families in all areas of spiritual growth, who will?

Who would you have teaching your children the word of God?

God has set up a leadership chart for us to follow.

The head of the Church is Jesus, the Christ,

Jesus is mans spiritual leader, and man is the spiritual leader of the family.

Look at it as a corporate organizational chart; we’ve probably all seen them in the companies we’ve worked for.

They start off listing the most senior person in the firm, and usually end up with middle management.

At the top we see the company CEO/President, then follows the Vice President, and below him is the Chief Accounting Officer, and so on right down the list to the middle management team.

On your organizational chart Jesus the Christ is in the top position, then the man as the spiritual leader, and then the woman as supporting the man.

In many Christian households in this country men have relinquished their position of authority to the women of the house and have opted for what they believe is a better position, one of sitting around watching the sports channel.

Substitute whatever extracurricular activity wish in place of watching the sports channel, it really doesn’t matter; it is an abomination to God if it distracts the man of the house and pulls him away from his God given responsibilities.

Brothers……….this should not be so.

As you study your Bibles you will find that men overwhelmingly have been placed in leadership roles.

God does this for a purpose.

It isn’t that He places women in a subservient role; women are our equal, not our slave.

As family men we are to love the one which God has placed in our lives as our help mate.

Love your wife as Christ loves the Church.

HE--- DID NOT TAKE BACK THE OFFER OF REDEMPTION AS SHE CRIED OUT TO “CRUCIFY HIM”.

If this were the case today the divorce rate in the Church would be much less than it is in the world.

Sadly it is actually higher than in the world.

The latest statistics indicate that 67% of professing Christians divorce.

That’s 17% higher than in the world of unbelievers.

What’s happening?

Why are professing Christian men and women beginning to follow the example set forth by the world?

Many Christian men, as well as women have allowed worldly influences to permeate their mind to the point that their minds are being corrupted, having lost the majority of the godly influence and are now being filled with filth, strife and evil thoughts continually.

The world no longer sees any difference between Christian men and women and themselves.

Christians having read the Bible and knowing the truth of Gods word, are given a huge advantage over that of worldly couples.

We can withstand the evil temptations of this world through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

What do the non-believers have?

Nothing.

At a fifty percent marital failure rate it’s a crap shoot for them whether or not their marriage actually survives.

Many Christian men have relinquished the title of family spiritual leader and they have opted out of the responsibilities God gave them in favor of a simpler path, one of virtually non resistance.

Many men have seen that their wives are more than willing to be the leaders and so they are basically stepping aside and allowing their spouses to take over that position.

This leads to ignorance and apathy on the part of the man.

In short, the women begin to wear the pants in the family.

***Women want and need a strong man to be the spiritual leader of their family.***

This is where the marriage unit beings to crumble, a woman will begin to seek someone stronger than herself and most assuredly stronger than her apathetic husband.

When she finds this, “real man” she will bring an end to the God ordained marriage she once enjoyed.

This is a huge mistake; God placed the man in the roll of spiritual leader for a purpose.

“But suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam wan not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” 1 Timothy 2:12,14.

Paul is telling us that the man is to be the leader in all things spiritual and in particular, in the Christian household.

 

“Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it,” Ephesians 5:22, 25.

Do not misunderstand, men are not to lord over their wives and children, but to love them and teach them Gods word and be there for them in all matters spiritual and otherwise.

“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4

This is good and acceptable to the Lord.

Any other path is not acceptable to God.

We aren’t to relinquish our duty of leadership to our wives; our wife is our help mate and she has plenty on her plate to contend with without taking on this responsibly also.

What’s happening in the Christian Church today is many men just don’t care.

We can see the devastation of many a Christian home where the man has turned from his God-given role and the mom has had to step into the role of spiritual leader.

It doesn’t work well.

In many households across this nation men aren’t even followers of Christ.

If moms want their children to receive a spiritual understanding of God, then she’s forced to take on this chore herself.

Just as Eve was deceived, women today can be deceived as well.

They seek after a spiritual source and in many cases that source can lead them and their children into a totally erroneous doctrine and even further from Jesus Christ.

Gods ways are perfect; He set up the roles of men and women in society to keep everything moving on an even keel.

 

Nothing can supplant Gods perfect approach to His leadership scenario without going against His perfect will.

How can we men get back to Gods perfect will in our lives and continue to occupy until He comes?

By giving our lives back to Jesus and determining to live as God instructed us, as, we return to the center of His will.

Few there are that will overcome

Jesus says in Revelation 3:20 “Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

How many that claim Christ have ever truly experienced the He in me and me in Him that scripture speaks of?

Take a white garment and dip it into a bowl of water died red. The white is in the dye and the dye is in the white and the two are now the same.

It is what we must experience to say that we truly have fellowship with Him.

Revelation 3:21 :To him that overcometh I will grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my father in His throne.”

A person must overcome this world.

He must overcome himself.

He must overcome the devices of Satan.

This is only done by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ and through faith becoming one with Him.

1 John 5:4 “ For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6

That means that a person needs to hear, study and read Gods Word as much as possible.

A persons faith cannot exceed their knowledge and correct understanding of Gods Word.

Little Word, equates to little faith.

One hour on Sunday listening to a man talk of everything except the Word of God does not build a faith in God who cannot fail, but only builds faith in a man who is using the hour to promote men’s works and mans flawed perception of what he can or has accomplished.

From this moment on you cannot say that you do not know.

One of the misconceptions being taught today by far too many ministers is that the Jesus of this generation is all love, compassion, understanding and never condemns anyone.

The truth is this.

The Jesus of the Bible is indeed loving, compassionate, and understanding, but He is to be FEARED, Psalms 89:7 “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence of all them that are about him.”

Isaiah 66:5a “Hear the Word of the Lord, ye that tremble at His Word,”

Jeremiah 5:22 “Fear ye not me? Saith the Lord, will ye not tremble in my presence,”

HE is to be feared by sinful man.

The Jesus of the Bible tells us Mercy rejoices against judgment. James 2:13 “For He shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shown no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”

Jesus is mercy, He is also judgment.

The Jesus of the Bible is a God who very few people know in this lukewarm generation and includes even radio and TV evangelists as well as pulpit ministers , missionaries, and authors, many of whom have forgotten the entire truth of a Holy, Righteous, God , for fear of alienating men who feed the egos of the aforementioned and keep the wheels of their ministries greased by lavishing fortunes upon these who refuse to condemn any man in his sinfulness.

John 3:18 “But he that believeth not is condemned,…19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”

There are so many who have been mislead about the truth of the God of the Bible in this generation that the book of Revelation doesn’t even say a few have not defiled their garments. Revelation 3:1-6

Scripture clearly states that as were the days of Noah were, so shall it be when Jesus returns.

How many people were saved in the days of Noah?

The answer is very few .

1 Peter 3:20 “Which sometimes were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a-preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”

Matthew 7:21-29 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, (or not everyone that calls on the name of Jesus), shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 “Many will say to me in that day ,Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?”

Many ! Note the word many will stand before the judgment and say they prophesied in the name of Jesus, but they will ultimately perish.

The verse continues “and in thy name cast out devils?

Again the word many applies. Many will say that in the name of Jesus that they have cast out devils.

Yet they will ultimately perish.

The verse continues--”and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

Again the word many applies.

Many will say that they have done wonderful works in the name of Jesus, yet they will perish.

The word many applies three times. Many, many , many shall perish even though they prophesied, cast out devils, and did wonderful works in the name of Jesus.

Verse 23 “Then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

They did these things in the name of Jesus but they did not fully repent.

They did works in the name of Jesus, but also practiced in sin.

Verse 24-29---”Therefore whosoever heareth these saying of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock (which is the Word and which is Jesus). And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell; and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”

Galatians 4:27 “For it is written, rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not, for the desolate (which is Satan) hath many more children than she which hath an husband.”

Many more people will go into hell than into heaven.

Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Many people shall desire to enter heaven, but will not be able.

Revelation 3:15-19 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

This is the church age of being lukewarm. Nearly all professing Christians that are really Christians are, at best, only lukewarm. God clearly states that the lukewarm will be spit out. They will perish. They will not enter heaven.

Verse 17 “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”

The people of this church age are blind and naked, yet they do not recognize their true condition.

They are blinded and are going to perish, and they do not know it, they are naked, and foolishly confident in their condition. They believe themselves to be clothed with Jesus, tragically they do not recognize their true condition.. They are not clothed with the righteousness required by God, yet have been told by those who are equally spiritually blind that they are on the right path.

Verse 18---”I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness does not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.

Verse 19---”As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

The message of Jesus to the people of this generation is to repent.

The problem is that so few churches are teaching this anymore and the people needlessly perish!

There is a battle between truth and error going on inside of each person.

That battle is for a persons soul.

The devil persuades many that evolution is the vehicle that man kind was born from. The adversary puts into the minds of many that the Bible is not Gods Word but just a book written by men. He makes some believe that it is too difficult to understand. And if you do believe the Bible is the perfect Word of GOD, then Satan will do everything possible to stop you from studying it, by using many distractions and other devices.

If you study the Bible then the devil will try to cause you to believe that certain passages do not mean exactly what they say, or that there is a different way of interpreting for each individual.

If you believe the Word then he will try to choke out the Word that you have learned, by causing you to desire more of the pleasures of the world, by throwing more of the lusts of this world at you, the cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, and many other devices.

Satan is the master of mixing the truth with deception and having you buy into the weakened position, and causing confusion and turmoil in your life.

The evil one persuades many people that there is no heaven, hell, judgment or God. He causes many to think that he does not even exist, or that if he does exist, he is nothing more that a little cartoon character with horns and a pitchfork, who while mischievous is more humorous than dangerous.

He causes many to be bitter towards God.

He causes far too many to be deceived on what is salvation and how to receive it.

He blinds eyes, shuts up ears, and hardens hearts.

There are many people who think that they are being led of God, but are not. They teach others to follow the deception that is leading them and by so doing lead their followers merrily into the pit.

Many people attend churches that have blind leaders and become blinded themselves by their teachings.

These blind clergy “Outwardly appear righteous unto men” Matthew 23:28.

They “Appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones” Matthew 23:27.

They “Are as graves that appear not, and the men that walk over them (those whoattend such churches) are not aware of them (they are not aware that these are blind leaders) Luke 11:44.

It would never occur to such people that their ordained minister is, himself, on his way to sinners hell.

Paul told us very clearly…”Many….Corrupt the word of God” 2 Corinthians 2:17.

These blind clergy combine Gods Word with deception and tradition of men.

Millions of people attend these dead, ceremonial, entertainment driven, people-pleasing churches and are lulled into a false confidence that they will enter heaven when they die.

It just never occurs to them that the church they attend will lead them to eternal separation in the place of fire.

They put their faith in a chosen leader, (celebrity worship) church building, denomination or lack of such affiliation, and its half-truth doctrines.

Only after they die will they realize that they were deceived and made an eternal mistake.

Satan puts into the minds of many that he can never deceive them; therefore, they are deceived already and let their guard down-as an army that is caught by surprise and is defenseless when the attack comes.

Not only does Satan speak to you in your thoughts but he speaks to you through many people, and you may never know it. People are extremely gullible and lack knowledge of the ways and devices of the devil.

Satan puts into peoples minds that they never sin, and many will believe this, even though the Bible says “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

Satan has created numerous false religions throughout the world that have led billions of people to hell.

Others may attend churches that teach some from the Bible, yet they are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Many will confess Christ; that they are saved, and yet the light that is in them is in actuality darkness, and the darkness has blinded their eyes.

They know not where they are going.

There is a battle going on for their soul but too many will not realize this until it is too late.

Again the Bible warns that many people will perish and few will enter into heaven.

Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction. And many there be which go in thereat.” Many people follow the path to destruction or to perish in hell. “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The Bible clearly states that few people will find the true way to salvation.

Few people will enter the kingdom of heaven.
